The Day of The Big Mushroom

Yesterday I walked over to my apartment office to clear up a billing error. While walking there I noticed what seemed like a large mushroom growing in front of one of the buildings. On my way back to my own building I stopped to check it out. In fact it was a rather large mushroom that was around approximately 10in across. This may not seem unusual to many of you out there. However, in central Texas (where there is often significant drought) it is rather curious. Of course it had been raining and drizzling steadily for the last three days, which is not typical in itself. I took a few photos with my phone. I then returned to my apartment to get my SLR film camera, loaded it with some 100ASA B&W film and went back to take a few more shots. After that I did some checking on the internet and I believe it is some type of bolete type mushroom as it is spongy looking with no gills. I will of course attach a photo of the mushroom and if anyone knows what type it is please don’t hesitate to let me know.
